The Galatea foundation stimulates the integration of artists (status holders with a recent past as a refugee) in order to increase their career prospects.

We do this in a number of areas:

What we do

Art

We want to support the cultural-artistic integration of refugee artists. An exhibition is organized annually, linked to the Galatea Art Prize.

Music

Via Galatea Music the foundation supports talented, but less fortunate musicians, by, among other things, organizing concerts and support for recordings and performances.

Academy

A 4-day introduction to Western/Dutch art history for refugee artists. Since in 2022 given by Jaap Versteegh of Galatea in the AzC in Utrecht.
